Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club

NEW - On August 24,2022, the City Electric Department conveyed the following information:

The Magnolia Point project is moving along quite nicely and if the contractor does not run into any unforeseen delay’s they should be done with pulling the cable and making up permanent connections within two weeks. After that it will take them about a week or so to do all the rehab. So hopefully (fingers crossed) everything will be done and they will be finished within  3 weeks.

On June 21,2022, the City Electric Department conveyed the following information:

The contractor (Heart Utilities ) has done as much as they can do for now because of supply shortages and we are waiting on materials to come in. The materials are due in the middle to end of July (with that being said the first estimate was the middle of June).

The contractor has finished one side of the loop that we are doing which runs all the way down Colonial to Shinnecock then over to the cart path on the 9th hole tee box. When the material arrives they will be working on Muirfield to where the cart path comes out by the 9th green. They have also did some work down Constancia, but they are done with that now.
On May 11, 2022, the City Electric Department conveyed the following information:

The latest on the project is we are almost done on the south side except for a few small things on Colonial and Shinnecock. We are starting to work up toward the front entrance again and will then make our way down Muirfield all the way to where we have to go across the ninth hole for the final tie between Shinnecock and Muirfield. After talking to the contractor today he thinks he will be almost all the way down Muirfield in the next 3-4 weeks then after that we are waiting on the last shipment of cable to come in (due in sometime in July) and we can finish the project. I have had the contractor go back and start re-sodding areas where they will not be going back to.

On MAR 13, 2022, the CIty Electric Department advised that it will likely be mid-summer before the Magnolia Point project is finished.  The City is encountering a number of supply issues and delays in getting needed materials.  The contractor will continue to work his way back to the front entrance from the back (of the community) on Colonial Dr., and then will start working on the north side of the entrance while awaiting for the last of the material to arrive.

The following information was received from the City's Electric Department
on FEB 1, 2022 at 4:18pm:
From Feb. 2 to Feb. 17, 2022, the Electric Department will be working on moving wires as part of its Magnolia Point Reconductor Project.  This work may result in short outages (no more than 15 mins.) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Electric Department will notify residents directly of any planned outages longer than 15 minutes.  We appreciate your understanding as the City continues to reinforce and improve its electrical grid.
